Silent screen superstar Lillian Gish takes on the role of Mimi in the classic tragic love story that has inspired an opera, the Broadway musical Rent, Moulin Rouge!, and many other films -- La BohemeWhen the frail seamstress Mimi (Gish--The Wind) moves to Paris, she falls in love and moves in with aspiring painter Rudolphe (John Gilbert--Queen Christina). Even though Rudolphe can't help himself from seeing other women, Mimi works almost to death to help his artistic quest. Only when it's too late, and Mimi lies dying, does Rudolphe realize that she is the only woman he will ever truly love? Based on the novel The Latin Quarter by Henri Murger.
