Clint Eastwood at Camp Pendleton for "Richard Jewell"

Award-winning Director/Producer Screens Upcoming Movie

Clint Eastwood visited Camp Pendleton military base for a special screening of "Richard Jewell" on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019.

"Richard Jewell," Eastwood's latest film, introduces us to the eponymous security guard who reported finding a bomb at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Before detonation, Richard Jewell (Paul Walter Hauser) heroically jumped into action to save countless lives, making him both a hero and a media phenomenon. Within days, however, Jewell quickly became the FBI's number one suspect and public opinion shifted. Vilified by the press, his daily life was completely upended. With the support of his mother, Bobi (Kathy Bates), and anti-establishment attorney Watson Bryant (Sam Rockwell), Jewell held steadfast in professing his innocence and trying to prove to the world who he really was.

Eastwood told film attendees that "things have changed since I was here last," when he was filming the 1986 film "Heartbreak Ridge," where Camp Pendleton served as North Carolina's Camp Lejeune.
