“Music And Lyrics” DVD From Warner Home Video
(April 27, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — Experience a heartwarming comedy this summer when "Music and Lyrics" arrives on DVD May 8, 2007 from Warner Home Video. From director Marc Lawrence comes an outrageously entertaining love story that will bring music to your ears.
"Music and Lyrics" follows former ‘80s pop star Alex (Hugh Grant) who gets a chance at a comeback when he’s asked to write and record a song with a current pop princess. Alex has never written lyrics and looks to his quirky plant lady Sophie (Drew Barrymore) to aid him in penning a hit song. On the rebound from a bad relationship with a newly famous novelist, Sophie is reluctant to collaborate with anyone, especially commitment-phobe Alex. As their chemistry heats up at the piano and under it, Alex and Sophie will have to face their fears and the music if they want to find the love and success they both deserve.
"Music and Lyrics" is directed by romantic comedy aficionado Marc Lawrence ("Two Weeks Notice," "Miss Congeniality"), who orchestrated the performances of Hugh Grant ("Love Actually," "About a Boy"), Drew Barrrymore ("50 First Dates," "Charlie’s Angels"), and Brad Garrett ("Night at the Museum," "Everybody Loves Raymond").
"Music and Lyrics" will be available on standard DVD for $28.98 SRP in both widescreen and full frame formats. On June 12, the HD DVD Combo will be available at $39.99 SRP and on Blu-ray Disc for $34.99 SRP.
