“Troy” Hits $335.5 Million Worldwide In 18 Days
(June 1, 2004 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Pictures’ epic “Troy” continues to perform at the box office with $64.2 million in worldwide grosses in its third weekend, for a cumulative worldwide total of $335.5 million in only 18 days. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures and Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.
Estimated four day U.S. box office totaled $15.3 million and estimated international weekend box office equaled $48.9 million (includes Monday numbers). “Troy” is playing on a total of 17,752 screens around the globe.
“Even in the midst of a crowded corridor, we’re extremely pleased with ‘Troy’s’ robust figures, which we also anticipate for the territories still to open, including China and Hong Kong,” said Kwan-Rubinek.
“‘Troy’ continues to perform well in this highly competitive summer season,” agreed Fellman.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Radiant production, in association with PLAN B, a Wolfgang Petersen film, “Troy,” starring BRAD PITT and ERIC BANA. The film also stars ORLANDO BLOOM, DIANE KRUGER, BRIAN COX, SEAN BEAN, BRENDAN GLEESON and PETER O’TOOLE.
