“Off Centre” Likes ‘Pie’

(April 4, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — “American Pie” stars Eugene Levy and Shannon Elizabeth join fellow ‘Pie’ alumni Eddie Kaye Thomas, John Cho and executive producers Chris and Paul Weitz on The WB comedy “OFF CENTRE” this April. On Sunday, April 14 (9:30-10:00 p.m. ET), Shannon Elizabeth guest-stars as Chau’s (John Cho) freaky new girlfriend Dawn. She’s gorgeous and they share the same love for cheesy Richard Grieco flicks — the only flaw is her constant desire to watch people beat up Chau. Most recently, Elizabeth was seen on the big screen in “13 Ghosts” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.” In an episode that has already stirred up scandal due to its many colorful euphemisms for the male member, Eugene Levy guest-stars in a “very special” “OFF CENTRE” circumcision episode airing Sunday, April 21 (9:30-10:00 p.m. ET). Levy is considered one of the comedic greats, with his recent turn in “Best in Show” a classic performance. In the episode, titled “The Unkindest Cut,” Mike (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Chau harass Euan (Sean Maguire) for sporting the “natural” look and launch a grass roots movement against his foreskin, so Euan consults with urologist Dr. Barry Wasserman (Levy) who has a rather “off center” bedside manner. “OFF CENTRE” is produced by DreamWorks SKG Television in association with Warner Bros.
