Tom Green Brings The World Of Skateboarding To The WB As Only He Can In A Summer Special Presentation Of “The Skateboard Show”

(June 20, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Skateboarding is more than a sport, it’s a way of life, and the special presentation of “THE SKATEBOARD SHOW” on Thursday, June 27 at 8:30 p.m., will help viewers dive head-first into this world of athletics, music and mayhem. This special, on which executive producer Tom Green (“The Tom Green Show”) has placed his inimitable stamp, offers an up-close-and-personal look at this extreme sport and its stars including Chad Muskas and Tony Hawk, who was recently voted the “coolest big-time athlete” ahead of Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter by teen marketer Alloy. In addition to beautifully shot half-pipes and aerials, the comedy/variety show will feature outrageous field segments. Green, who is joined as an executive producer on the special by Yann Debonne (“Behind the Music”), appears in a segment in which he becomes a professional skater, designs his own board, tries the half-pipe and torments the innocent during a street ride.
