(October 17, 2007 - Burbank, CA) – Warner Home Video and the Kids’ WB! bring a new team of young and adventurous Super Heroes to DVD when they release “Legion of Super Heroes: Volume 2” on February 5, 2008. The DVD will include 4 episodes from the first season of the hit Kids’ WB! show, “Legion of Super Heroes,” which currently airs Saturdays at 10:00 am and ranks among the top five Kids’ WB! programs in the 2007 season. The “Legion of Super Heroes” was inspired by the DC Comics’ legend Superman and was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards®. In the “Legion of Super Heroes: Volume 2,” the adventure continues for the young team of Super Heroes as they fight for justice and interplanetary unity while facing seemingly insurmountable hurdles along the way. In these four action-packed episodes, The Legion are forced to take refuge in a derelict space station, Braniac 5’s IQ begins to falter, and Lightning Lad resigns from The Legion to join a new team. Produced by James Tucker (Co-Producer of “Justice League Unlimited”), Linda Steiner (Producer of “Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo”) and Sander Schwartz (Executive Producer of “Teen Titans”), the DVD features a new crew of young DC Super Heroes who may just be the Universe’s only hope.
“’Legion of Super Heroes: Volume 2’ features a group of underage Super Heroes who are undisciplined, unpredictable and undeniably fun to watch” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President of Family, Animation & Sports Marketing. “We are delighted to release the next four action-packed episodes in the wildly popular Kids’ WB! series that will surely be a hit with fans.”
“Legion of Super Heroes: Volume 2” will be available on DVD with approx. 88 minutes of four 22-minute episodes:
