“You’ve Got Mail Deluxe Edition” DVD From Warner Home Video
(November 5, 2007 - Burbank, CA) – Warner Home Video celebrates the original online-dating couple this February 5 with "You’ve Got Mail Deluxe Edition" DVD, just in time for Valentine’s Day. This blockbuster romantic comedy stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan as cyber sweethearts who find themselves falling in love online while offline they are contentious business rivals. Now with two all-new featurettes including an interview with Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan and writer/director Nora Ephron, "You’ve Got Mail Deluxe Edition" will be available for $19.97 SRP. Order due date is January 1, 2008.
Directed by Nora Ephron ("Bewitched," "Lucky Numbers"), "You’ve Got Mail" is a computer age update of the classic romantic film, "The Shop Around the Corner," a tale of anonymous pen pals finding love. This time around, however, emailing has replaced letter writing. With the romantic backdrop of a perfect looking Manhattan, two-time Oscar® winner Tom Hanks ("Forrest Gump," "Philadelphia") plays a chain store mogul who falls for three-time Golden Globe® nominee Meg Ryan ("Sleepless in Seattle," "When Harry Met Sally") in an internet chat room, not realizing that in the real world, she’s the small bookshop owner he’s putting out of business. Co-starring Greg Kinnear, Parker Posey and Jean Stapleton, the film also features a classic soundtrack from diverse music artists including Harry Nilsson, Louis Armstrong, Roy Orbison, Jimmy Durante, Sinead O’Connor among others.
