Barry Watson Pens Episode Of “7TH Heaven”

(November 7, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Former “7TH HEAVEN” series star Barry Watson adds a writing credit to his resume. Watson, who also serves as story editor this season, wrote the “7TH HEAVEN” episode entitled “Peer Pressure,” airing Monday, November 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on The WB. “Barry amazed me with his ability to write dialogue for Rabbi Glass, played by Richard Lewis,” said series creator and executive producer Brenda Hampton. “We’re hoping Barry doesn’t take off next season to do stand-up in the clubs. But if he does, we wish him the best of luck.” Directed by Brad Gross, Monday night’s episode revolves around Reverend Camden (Stephen Collins) who has recently undergone open-heart surgery and is aghast that his church has hired a young and handsome associate pastor (Jeremy London) to hold down the fort during his recovery. Comedian/actor Richard Lewis returns for a hilarious turn as Rabbi Glass, a recurring role he initiated last season. Watson starred for six seasons as Matt, the oldest Camden son in the hugely successful “7TH HEAVEN.” He has also starred in the feature films “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” and “Sorority Girls.” The series was created by Brenda Hampton (“Mad About You,” “Blossom”), who also serves as executive producer, along with Aaron Spelling and E. Duke Vincent. “7TH HEAVEN” is produced by Spelling Television, Inc., a Paramount/Viacom company.
