Iris Knobloch Named Président-Directeur Général, Warner Bros. France S.A.
(June 8, 2006 – Burbank, CA & Paris, France) – Iris Knobloch has been named to the newly created position of Président-Directeur Général, Warner Bros. France S.A., it was announced today by Barry Meyer, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer; Alan Horn, President & Chief Operating Officer; and Richard Fox, Executive Vice President, International, Warner Bros.
Knobloch, who has spent more than 10 years at Warner Bros. and Time Warner, will now have general oversight of all of Warner Bros.’ businesses in France, including theatrical production and distribution, television distribution, home video, consumer products, online and emerging distribution technologies. She will work closely with Warner Bros. France business units’ managers, Francis Boespflug (theatrical), Philippe Bastard de Crisnay (home video), Michel LeCourt (television) and Karen Benattasse (consumer products), to achieve country-specific and companywide goals. She will report through Fox to Meyer and Horn starting July 1st, 2006.
“Iris has an excellent understanding of the intricacies of doing business in Europe and a sterling reputation in the European business community,” said Meyer. “Her counsel, guidance and oversight will benefit all of our French business units and help them to further succeed in their respective fields.”

Prior to rejoining Warner Bros., Knobloch served as Senior Vice President, International Relations and Strategic Policy, Europe, Time Warner, responsible for overseeing Time Warner's strategic public policy issues affecting the company in Europe.
Before that, Knobloch was a member of Warner Home Video’s European management team in her capacity as Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, working at Warner Bros.’ offices in Los Angeles, London and Paris.
Prior to first working with Warner Bros., Knobloch was an attorney with Norr, Stiefenhofer & Lutz and O'Melveny & Myers in Munich, New York and Los Angeles.
Knobloch is trilingual in English, German and French. She received a J.D. degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet in Munich, Germany in 1987 and an L.L.M. degree from New York University in 1992. She is licensed to practice law in Germany, New York and California.
