It’s A November Of Comings & Goings At The WB

(October 26, 2000 – Burbank, CA) — On the heels of record-breaking fall ratings, The WB Network will roll out a line-up of not-to-be-missed original episodes during November sweeps, with the biggest news being a scheduling move for the new Darren Star comedy “GROSSE POINTE.” Beginning Friday, November 3, the Friday 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. ET hour will be filled with back-to-back episodes of “SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH” followed by “POPULAR,” and on November 5 “GROSSE POINTE” will move to its new Sunday night timeslot at 9:30 p.m. ET. The new Sunday night line up will be “THE JAMIE FOXX SHOW” at 7:00 p.m. ET followed by “THE PJs” at 7:30 p.m. ET, “THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW” at 8:00 p.m. ET then “HYPE,” “NIKKI” and “GROSSE POINTE.” Tyra Banks will join “FELICITY” for three episodes beginning on Wednesday, November 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) as a beautiful student who steals Noel’s (Scott Foley) heart over a malfunctioning Macintosh computer. The following week (Wednesday, November 15, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), John Ritter returns in his role as Ben’s (Scott Speedman) dad who makes a shocking move on Felicity (Keri Russell). Well on the road to real trouble, Mary (Jessica Biel) will finally go too far by stealing money from the twins, leaving Eric (Stephen Collins) and Annie (Catherine Hicks) with no choice but to kick their eldest daughter out of the house to preserve the family on “7th HEAVEN” (Monday, November 13, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET). The next week (Monday, November 20, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen play twins with a wild reputation who lead Simon (David Gallagher) into his own mischief. Andie (Meredith Monroe) will leave Capeside on “DAWSON’S CREEK” (Wednesday, November 15, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), while Joey (Katie Holmes) continues to struggle with the love triangle she has created with Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson). The following week (Wednesday, November 22, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), the series pays homage to the feature film crime thriller “The Usual Suspects” when a student pulls off the perfect senior prank and Dawson, Pacey and Jack (Kerr Smith) are the prime suspects. In one of The WB’s most popular sweeps traditions, “BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER” and “ANGEL” will be connected by one storyline (Tuesday, November 14 at 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET) as flashbacks haunt the lead characters and take viewers back in time to the very beginning when Darla (Julie Benz) is sired by the Master (Mark Metcalf) and the early days when Angel (David Boreanaz), Darla, Spike (James Marsters) and Drusilla (Juliet Landau) ruled in fear and mayhem. In addition to original episodes of “SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH” Fridays at 8:00 p.m. ET, classic episodes will air in the 8:30 p.m. ET timeslot featuring guest appearances by Britney Spears (Friday, November 3), Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell (“All That”) and RuPaul (Friday, November 10), and the Backstreet Boys (Friday, November 17). There will be captivating new episodes of all the series on The WB, with one-hour series highlights including Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) first kiss on “GILMORE GIRLS” (Thursday, November 16, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), the three Halliwell sisters’ petty in-fighting resulting in the loss of their powers on “CHARMED” (Thursday, November 16, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), a shocking “ROSWELL” when the teens meet their alien doubles (Monday, November 20, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), and poignant “POPULAR” episodes as the series tackles mandatory drug testing (Friday, November 10, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), and eating disorders and questions of faith (Friday, November 17, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET).
