Mötley Crüe Superstar Vince Neil Rocks The Small Screen Once Again On “Greetings From Tucson” In A Special May Sweeps Event

(February 13, 2003 – Burbank, CA) — The quintessential rock and roll frontman for Mötley Crüe, Vince Neil, adds another television credit to his resume with a special guest appearance on “GREETINGS FROM TUCSON” during May sweeps. After winning a talent contest on his own show, “The Surreal Life,” Neil was awarded a guest spot on another WB series and had a part written just for him. In the episode “My Friend Mom,” Neil (as himself) starts to feel the pressures of being a superstar and turns to his newly hired security guard, Ernesto (Jacob Vargas), for advice. Unfortunately, Ernesto’s “just relax” advice backfires when Vince decides to take it literally and quits the business – right before a sold-out concert. Neil and his bandmates formed Mötley Crüe in 1981. Early buzz was so great that it lead to a record deal with one of the major record labels and by 1983, the Crüe’s “Shout at the Devil” went triple-platinum. The band went on to tour extensively and record the subsequent multi-million sellers “Theatre of Pain,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Dr. Feelgood.” After a decade of fronting Mötley Crüe with great success, Neil and the band separated and Neil went on to record two solo albums. In 1995, Mötley Crüe reunited. Currently, Neil can be seen on The WB’s “Surreal Life,” a reality series about the lives of a group of intriguing and notorious celebrities who find themselves in the spotlight once again as they share a home for ten days and nights. Neil’s co-stars include MC Hammer, Emmanuel Lewis, Brande Roderick, Corey Feldman, Gabrielle Carteris and Jerri Manthey.
