U.S. Debut Of New Pokémon Trading Card Game Card Available Exclusively With Theater Admission To “Pokémon 3 The Movie,” Opening April 6

(March 15, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – For the first time in America, a unique reverse-holographic black-star Pokémon Trading Card game card, featuring the character Entei, will be available to Pokémon fans with every theater admission to “Pokémon 3 The Movie,” opening nationwide on April 6. The announcement was made today by Brad A. Ball, President, Domestic Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures. The new card’s image is being revealed exclusively on America Online on Monday, March 19, at 9:00 AM (EST) and can be accessed through AOL Keyword: KOPokemon. Entei, a powerful Pokemon with a huge roar and a gentle heart, plays a starring role in the new film. His image is the first of the Legendary Dogs Pokemon series to become available in this country as a Pokémon Trading Card game card, distributed by Wizards of the Coast, the worldwide leader in trading card games. “We are pleased to continue our relationship with both Nintendo of America and Wizards of the Coast in introducing this new game card to moviegoers as they enjoy the latest big-screen Pokémon adventure,” stated Ball. “The opening of each of our Pokémon films has been associated with an exclusive game card giveaway and these have been among our most popular promotions.
