Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution’s Media Sales Expands Operations
(October 20, 2003 - Burbank, CA) - Michael Teicher, Executive Vice President, Media Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution has announced the promotion of a longtime sales executive and the addition of two new sales executives, including one who will establish a west coast sales office for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution’s Media Sales.
WBDTD veteran Roseann Cacciola has been promoted to Senior Vice President & General Sales Manager; Phil Peters has been named Vice President, Midwest Region; and Marisusan Trout has been named Director, Western Region, Media Sales, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Media Sales handles the barter advertising sales for all the first-run and off-network programming distributed by WBDTD, including the two successful new hour-long talk strips hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and Sharon Osbourne, and the off-net phenomenon “Friends.” Media Sales also handles the barter ad sales for NBC’s “Will & Grace” and “Access Hollywood.”
“Our product lineup offers advertisers opportunities simply not available anywhere else,” said Teicher. “And to handle such top-quality programming, we rely on top-notch executives like Roseann, Phil and Marisusan. Roseann’s promotion is well deserved, and Phil and Marisusan are great additions to our staff. I look forward to working with all of them in their new posts to build on the excellent level of salesmanship and service that sets us apart.”
As Senior Vice President & General Sales Manager, Cacciola will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Media Sales’ home office in New York City, overseeing the east coast sales staff and assisting Teicher with the overall management of the industry’s largest inventory of barter advertising time.
Cacciola most recently served as Vice President, Media Sales, having joined the company in 1986 as a Media Analyst and rising steadily through the ranks over the years.
In his new position, Peters will oversee Media Sales’ operations in the Midwest, working with advertisers and their agencies to secure national advertising time within the first-run and off-network television programming distributed by WBDTD. Peters will be based in Chicago.
Peters joins WBDTD from Regal CineMedia, where he served as the account director for Midwest sales, creating innovative advertising programs for such clients as the U.S. Army and Miller Brewing. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Director of Midwest and West Coast Advertising Sales for Fremantle Media. He started his career at Leo Burnett Advertising where he was both a media planner and a media supervisor.
In her newly created position, Trout will represent Media Sales in the western U.S., working with clients to secure national advertising time within WBDTD programming. She’ll be based in Burbank, CA.
Prior to Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, Trout worked at Vivendi Universal Networks-Flipside, where she served as a sales director, having been promoted from regional sales manager. Before that, she was an independent consultant for MAGNET Marketing. Prior to that, she held senior executive posts at Hallmark Channel and CNT-College Network Television, and various sales positions at Discovery Communications, KABC/Los Angeles Dodgers and Fowler Communications. Trout began her career as a media planner/buyer at DJMC Advertising in Northern California.
