THE MENTALIST stars Emmy®, Golden Globe and SAG Award nominee Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who has a remarkable track record for using his razor-sharp skills of observation and psychological manipulation to solve serious crimes. Within the Bureau, Jane is notorious for his blatant lack of protocol and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic medium, whose paranormal abilities he now admits he feigned. No-nonsense CBI senior agent Teresa Lisbon was initially reluctant to accept Jane into her unit; however, though she occasionally reprimands him for his theatrics and lack of boundaries, she acknowledges Jane's usefulness and finds him intriguing.
