News anchor Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) -and his team at Atlantis Cable News (ACN) Network continue their quixotic mission to "do the news well" as they face a new series of corporate, commercial and personal obstacles in Season 2 of Aaron Sorkin's acclaimed drama series. Set over the course of five days leading up to Election Day 2012, this season encompasses numerous flashbacks to earlier events from 2011 and 2012; meanwhile, a wrongful-termination lawsuit is filed by a staffer alleged to have doctored a report on a suspicious U.S. drone strike. Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, John Gallagher Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel and Olivia Munn co-star with guest stars including Jane Fonda and Hope Davis.
